NORWALK, CT — Norwalk's garbage and recycling collection schedule for this week has been changed following a major winter storm that impacted the area Sunday into Monday morning, according to the city.

In a Facebook post Monday afternoon, garbage and recycling pickup will resume Tuesday.

Monday's pickup has been pushed to Tuesday, and the city will run on a one-day delay this week due to the storm.

Residents are asked to place their bins in front of any snow drifts or piles for ease of pickup, according to the city.

"If your bin is placed on top of snow or behind it, the truck will not be able to properly collect the garbage/recycling," city officials wrote on Facebook.
