Vehicle On Metro-North Tracks In Norwalk Delays Service
Metro-North's Danbury Branch Line service was briefly delayed due to a vehicle on the tracks in Norwalk.

NORWALK, CT — Metro-North’s Danbury Branch Line service was briefly delayed Thursday afternoon due to a vehicle on the tracks in Norwalk. According to the Metro-North Railroad Twitter page, the vehicle was located on the tracks at Jennings Place crossing.
Metro-North reported the incident around 12:30 p.m. At approximately 1:42 p.m., Metro-North tweeted the vehicle had been removed and normal train service had resumed, with the 1:27 p.m. out of Danbury operating 10 to 15 minutes behind schedule. Before the vehicle was removed, substitute bus service was provided.

According to the Norwalk Hour, the vehicle was a truck carrying motor vehicles, which became disabled on the tracks. A wrecker truck was dispatched, and the main New Haven Line service was not affected.
