The 26-year veteran was involved in a crash with an 18-wheeler this summer.
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Police Officer Hector Delgado, a 26-year veteran of the Force, has been suspended for five days in connection with a DUI crash involving him and a tractor trailer truck this past August, the department confirmed to Patch.
Delgago fled the scene following the Aug. 8 crash on I-95 in Fairfield, and was arrested by state police later that month on charges of driving under the influence, illegally carrying a firearm while under the influence and failure to drive in the proper lane, reports The Hour.
The 46-year-old Stratford resident is scheduled to appear in Bridgeport Superior Court on Nov. 12, according to the state Judicial Branch website.
