Veterans Day Ceremony At Norwalk City Hall Nov. 11
The Veterans Day Ceremony will be held from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at Norwalk City Hall.
NORWALK, CT — To celebrate veterans, the city is hosting a free concert by the American Festival Band at Norwalk City Hall in the Concert Hall, from 9:30 a.m. - 10:30 a.m., which will be followed by a Veterans Day Ceremony from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Both the Brien McMahon High School Navy Junior ROTC and the Norwalk High School Air Force Junior ROTC are scheduled to participate.
The public is invited to this special event.
As part of the ceremony, the traditional "One Minute of Silence" will be observed followed by a rifle volley salute performed by the Norwalk Police Department Honor Guard and Rifle Detail, according to officials.

Additionally, a unique version of Taps will be performed by buglers from the NHS Marching Bears and the BMHS Marching Senators. Piper, Norwalk Deputy Fire Chief Ed Prescott, will perform Amazing Grace.
Refreshments, courtesy of American Legion Post 12 Auxiliary, will be served in the Community Room following the ceremony.
