Walk To End Alzheimer's In Norwalk

The Alzheimer's Association is inviting residents to join the fight to end Alzheimer's.

NORWALK, CT - From Alzheimer's Association: The Alzheimer’s Association ® is inviting Fairfield County residents to join the fight to end Alzheimer’s by participating in the Alzheimer’s Association Walk to End Alzheimer’s. The Walk will take place on September 16th at Calf Pasture Beach in Norwalk.

Alzheimer's Association Walk to End Alzheimer's participants will complete a 2 mile walk and will learn about Alzheimer's disease, advocacy opportunities, clinical studies enrollment and support programs and services from the Alzheimer’s Association. Walk participants also honor those affected by Alzheimer's disease with the poignant Promise Garden ceremony.

“I started walking because I felt helpless while my parents were sick. There was nothing I could do to make them better, I had no answers, no solutions,” said Norwalk Walk To End Alzheimer’s committee member and Team Recruitment Chair, Lisa Faroni. “I sat and watched them deteriorate, slowly fading away and becoming an empty shell. I lost them well before they passed.”
