Wall Street Theater Presents A Tribute Concert To Tim Currie
"A Night of Music and Memories" is scheduled for Nov. 23.

NORWALK, CT — The life and music of the late Tim Currie, Norwalk resident, musician and business owner, will be celebrated at a tribute concert at the Wall Street Theater on Nov. 23, organizers announced.

Celebrating the life and music of Tim Currie, who, in the words of Marc Alan, “was a man who
we remember for his giant size heart, that he gave to his music, and the community that he
loved,“ is a Tribute Concert to Tim Currie from his Bandmates and the City of Norwalk, CT,
taking place at the Wall Street Theater, on Saturday, November 23, 2019 at 7pm.
This night of music and memories is being co-produced by Steve Sasloe, a long time friend and
musical collaborator, and Marc Alan of Factory Underground Studio and ARC Sound and
Lighting, will include featured musical performances by Tim Currie’s Motown Band, his 60’s
revival band Tumblin’ Dice and the music of his beloved son Adam Currie. The show will also
feature special guest musicians from throughout Tim’s long and storied musical career.

“This event is really a chance for us all to say “Thank You” to Tim from his friends, bandmates
and the entire city of Norwalk,” said Sasloe. “It’s also a way to give back to his wonderful family,
who so generously shared Tim with all of us.”
“Tim Currie believed with all his heart that music and love could make the world a better place;
he believed in the power of music to bring people together,” said Alan.

Currie was playing drums with his band, Tim Currie's Motown Band, on Aug. 24 when he died from what News 12 Connecticut wrote was a heart attack he suffered during the performance.
