Westy Self Storage Hosts CancerCare Appreciation Event
Westy - Norwalk shows their support of CancerCare by donating the use of their lobby to host the group's appreciation event.
The grand lobby of Westy is the perfect forum for the event. Constructed with granite tile, this light-filled atrium creates a prestigious area with its atmosphere softened with art and music. The picturesque setting of the grand lobby will allow for a festive evening for over 100 CancerCare supporters, volunteers and clients from the Connecticut area.
CancerCare is a national organization with a regional office right here in Norwalk. The office offers a free wig program for women undergoing chemotherapy, educational seminars regarding breast health for Spanish speaking residents of Fairfield County and face to face support services for all people with cancer, caregivers and children. The Norwalk office has been a fixture in the community since 1989. All CancerCare services are provided by oncology social workers and world-leading cancer experts. CancerCare programs and services help 180,000 people each year. “We’re so grateful to Westy for again hosting this special holiday event for the families we serve who are affected by a cancer diagnosis. It’s so important for them to be able to come together to enjoy an evening of fun and holiday activities” said Kathy Nugent, LCSW, Director of Regional Programs, CancerCare. “We are deeply grateful for Westy’s continued support and commitment to the community and those in need.”
