NORWALK, CT — A Monroe woman accused of hitting a pedestrian with a vehicle in Norwalk and fleeing the area earlier this year was arrested Wednesday, according to the Norwalk Police Department.

In a news release provided by the department, Police Lt. Ramon Tejada said a pedestrian was struck by a vehicle near the intersection of Main Street and Plymouth Avenue on June 2 around 10 p.m. and sustained life-threatening injuries.

According to Tejada, the driver of the vehicle did not stop and fled from the area after the collision.

Snyder turned herself in to police Wednesday after an officer obtained an arrest warrant, Tejada said.

She was charged with evading responsibility - serious physical injury, second-degree assault with a motor vehicle, tampering with physical evidence and failure to yield to a pedestrian.

Her bond was set at $60,000 and she is scheduled to appear in court later this month, according to Tejada.
