Woman Charged In Seafood Robbery At Stew Leonard's: Norwalk PD
Police said bags of seafood were stolen from the Norwalk store and a man pulled a gun on a security guard during the incident.

NORWALK, CT — A Stratford woman was arrested Monday on charges related to a robbery at Stew Leonard's, during which bags of seafood were stolen and a man she was with pulled a gun on a security guard, according to police.
In an arrest summary sent to Patch, Police Lt. Joseph Dinho said officers were called to the Westport Avenue store on Feb. 27 after receiving a report of a robbery.
A security officer at the store told police a man and a woman were seen exiting the store carrying three bags of seafood, which the man began loading into a car. The officer followed the couple to the parking lot and asked twice to see the couple's receipt, however the man said his sister had it, according to Dinho.

When the security officer tried to remove the bags from the car, the man lifted his shirt and pulled out a black metal object that appeared to be a gun, Dinho said.
The security officer then distanced himself from the car and the couple left the parking lot, Dinho said. No injuries were reported.

Police later reviewed security footage of the incident, which showed the vehicle's license plate, Dinho said. After further investigation, police arrested Tara Stewart, 38, of Stratford, on a warrant Monday.
Stewart was charged with conspiracy to commit first-degree robbery, according to police records, and held on a court-set bond of $100,000.
According to the Connecticut Post, Dinho said the man who pulled out the firearm has not been arrested yet.
