In some rooms the trash almost reached the ceilings, according to reports.

NORWALK, CT — A woman has died after a house fire was reported at 7 a.m. Sunday and firefighters say extreme hoarding conditions in the house impacted fire rescue operations, according to reports.
Firefighters say they had a difficult time reaching the victim because of the condition of the house, NBC Connecticut reports. The fire occurred on Bettswood Road and the house was full of "junk" and "debris," according to NBC Connecticut, which led firefighters to have to crawl on top of the debris to reach the woman.
The woman was pronounced dead at a local hospital. In some rooms the trash almost reached the ceiling, NBC Connecticut reports. An identification has not yet been released.
