Woman Loses $5,000 In Lottery Scam, Suspects Sought: Norwalk PD
Norwalk Police said they are investigating a fraud complaint in which an elderly woman was scammed out of $5,000.
NORWALK, CT — Norwalk Police said they are investigating a fraud complaint in which an elderly woman was scammed out of $5,000.
"The suspects claimed that they won the lottery but needed the victim to help them by giving them some of her own money," police said in a post on the department's Facebook page.
According to police, the suspects drove a black 2019 Mercedes SUV with a Massachusetts license plate of 8WY599.

The male suspect was accompanied by a woman in her 40's, police said.
Police ask anyone with any information to contact Detective Sura at 203-854-3039. Police also remind residents to be aware of any suspicious activity regarding lottery scams where the winners are asking for cash.
