Our daughter began her junior year at Syracuse in 2022, but just three weeks into the start of the semester she did not feel well and went to the ER. After many tests, she was diagnosed with stage 4 Hodgkin Lymphoma. Lily had to take a medical leave for the year to get 12 rounds of chemotherapy at Memorial Sloan Kettering in NYC. Lily had her one year remission scans in March and is now cancer free! She continued to take as many classes as she could over the summer, during winter breaks etc to graduate with her class. She walked with her classmates on May 9th, and is completing her capstone project and a few more credits this summer. I am in awe of her stamina and determination. She has exemplified strength and courage.
