The Norwalk Public Library is pleased to join with the Norwalk River Watershed Association for another live, nature-friendly webinar – "The Secret Life of Vines, Tendrils, Scramblers and Bines – and Why You Need to Know the Difference!" presented by Cathy Smith, on Thursday, February 25, at 12 noon, on Zoom.

A vine is not a vine is not a vine. Those climbing, clinging plants you see all around you may look similar, but they have very different strategies for success. Join us for this webinar to untangle their secrets. Charles Darwin himself was fascinated by them. You’ll learn about their significance throughout human history – the good, the bad and the ugly – and find out how you can encourage the healthy growth of vines, both native and cultivated.

Cathy Smith—gardener, speaker, writer, yoga teacher, board member of the Norwalk River Watershed Association—is a long-time student of the natural world.
