1 Dead After Vehicle Strikes Garage In Norwich
Emergency personnel cut off the roof of the vehicle to reach the victim, authorities said.
NORWICH, CT — A person died after a vehicle struck a garage overnight in Norwich, according to reports.
Emergency personnel responded around 2 a.m. Sunday to Stonington Road for a vehicle that had hit a garage and was smoking and on its side, with an unresponsive male trapped inside, Norwich Firefighters Local 892 said in a Facebook post.
Crews cut off the roof of the vehicle and removed the victim, who was in traumatic arrest and was taken to Backus Hospital, according to the social media post. The Bulletin reported the person was later pronounced deceased.
