Amazon Proposes Large Warehouse Facility In Norwich
The tech giant is also moving forward with plans to construct another facility in Eastern Connecticut, according to reports.
NORWICH, CT — Amazon is seeking to build a warehouse in Norwich at a site off of I-395, according to WFSB 3-TV.
The facility would take up about half of the 384-acre Norwich Occum Industrial Center property.
A city official told WFSB 3-TV that construction of the site would require about 200 workers. Another 500 workers would be employed once the facility opens.

Meanwhile, Amazon is continuing its attempt to construct another huge new warehouse nearby in Killingly, according to Hearst Connecticut Media. The town had rejected the company's proposal, but Amazon has filed an appeal in court.
The company has said it intends to move forward with construction of both projects.
