Pickup Truck Slams Into Building In Norwich; Driver Hospitalized

NORWICH, CT — A pickup truck crashed into a building in Norwich on Thursday afternoon.

Firefighters were dispatched at 12:36 p.m. to 79 Wawecus St., according to Norwich Firefighters Local 892.

The pickup truck had hit the building, which is listed as a medical facility, causing moderate damage.

The driver was taken to the hospital by ambulance.

Norwich Public Utilities and the Building Official assessed the building's condition.
