Body Pulled From Yantic River In Norwich: Reports
Police are investigating after a fisherman found a body in the Yantic River on Wednesday afternoon, according to reports.

NORWICH, CT — Police pulled a body from the Yantic River in Norwich on Wednesday afternoon. A fisherman reportedly found the body, according to NBC CT.
A dive team arrived at the river at 4:30 p.m. Responding officers found the body in about 8 feet of water at the base of the Route 2 overpass near Town Street, NBC CT reported.
Firefighters and the dive team assisted in removing the body from the water.

The body has not been identified and the cause of death is not known, according to WTNH News-8.
