Fire Rips Through Norwich Apartment Building, Displaces 21: Report

A blaze broke out at an apartment building in Norwich early Sunday morning.

NORWICH, CT — A fire at an apartment complex early Sunday morning has displaced 21 people, according to WTNH News-8. The fire at the 51 14th St. building in the Greenville neighborhood was reported at 5:11 a.m.

A firefighter suffering a minor hand injury was the only injury reported, WTNH News-8 reported. Firefighters rescued several cats and a bird from the building.

The Red Cross responded as 12 adults and 9 children were displaced by the fire.
