Fire Rips Through Norwich Vacant Mill: Report

NORWICH, CT — A fire ripped through the vacant Capehart Mill building in the Greenville section of Norwich early Friday morning, The New London Day reported. The fire was reported at 5:15 a.m. and was under control by 6:30 a.m.

Police and fire personnel were expected to stay on the scene for an extended period. No injuries were reported.

The site has been vandalized several times over the years, according to The New London Day. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
