Former Norwich Council President to Petition onto Ballot, Run for House
She will attempt to run as an unaffiliated third party in the election for the House of Representatives.

NORWICH, CT- Former Democratic City Council President Bonnie Hong plans to file a petition to run as unaffiliated third-party candidate in November’s 46th District state House of Representatives race, The Day reported.
She obtained the official papers needed from the Secretary of the State’s office on Friday, according to The Day. The deadline for her to file the petition is Aug. 10.
Hong reportedly must get signatures totaling 1 percent of the number of votes cast in the 2014 election in the 46th District, according to The Day. If her plans work out, she hopes to address issues such as the state’s economic distress ranking and budget cuts.
