Greater Norwich Area Chamber Of Commerce: Events At Leffingwell House Museum

There will be a display of Benedict memorabilia, plus the sword of Benedict, on loan from the NL County Historic Society.

Benedict Arnold Returns to Leffingwell House Museum again on Sat. Sept 18, 11-4pm. Listen as Reenactor Kevin Titus portrays both sides of Benedict, the infamous son of Norwich. He will present two portrayals in the Dooryard Garden: 11:30 Patriot and General, 1:30 Traitor. Interact with Ye Olde Towne Lebanon Militia. Watch as their talented craftsmen and women ply their colonial trades of basketmaking, carving, weaving, then you can explore the wares of the Colonial Suttler, Big Bear Trading Co.At 1pm enjoy the annual delivery and presentation to Norwich Mayor of the well coffined ‘Patriot’ Leg of Benedict by Flock theatre of New London. All outdoor activities are free but we welcome donations to keep us ‘cooking History!’.

The Museum will be open for tours, $8, 11-4, last tour starts at 3pm. There will be a display of Benedict memorabilia, plus the sword of Benedict, on loan from the NL County Historic Society.
