Infant Left In Hot Car While Mother Dined In McDonald's: Update
The vehicle was not left running. The mother, from Norwich, has been arrested.

NORWICH, CT — A Norwich mother is facing charges after leaving her 1-year-old child in a hot car in a McDonald's parking lot on Salem Turnpike in Norwich while she ate inside, reports WFSB-TV.
The child was taken to a local hospital for evaluation and is expected to be OK, though how long the infant was alone in the car was not immediately available. According to police, the car was not left running, but the windows had been left cracked.
After looking in a window of the car Monday afternoon, and allegedly seeing the child perspiring, a witness contacted Norwich police.
