Man Charged In 2 Norwich Bank Robberies

A man accused of robbing two banks last week has been charged, according to a report.

NORWICH, CT — Police have arrested a man accused of two bank robberies in Norwich last Tuesday, according to The Norwich Bulletin. Kevin Smith, 39, was charged with two counts of second-degree robbery, one count of fifth-degree larceny, and one count of sixth-degree larceny.

The charges are connected to the robberies of two Salem Turnpike banks: Liberty Bank and CorePlus Credit Union.

He was held on $250,000 cash surety bond.
