Man Found In Running Vehicle After Receiving Reports Of Concerning Texts: Norwich Police
The quick actions of both Norwich police and a resident helped crews get a man found sitting in a running vehicle to the hospital.

NORWICH, CT - The quick actions of both Norwich police and a resident helped crews get a possibly suicidal man to the hospital, the New London Day. The man's life may have been saved as a result of the quick actions of both parties.
Police said four officers responded to an unspecified address after receiving reports from a person who had been sent concerning texts from the unidentified man about his thoughts and depression, according to the New London Day. Police said officers smelled a strong odor of vehicle exhaust fumes upon arrival. Police said the man was found sitting in a running vehicle in the garage, the New London Day reported. Crews were then able to quickly transport the man to The William W. Backus Hospital for treatment.
