New Chinese National Honor Society Members Named At NFA
A total of 15 students were inducted from the Norwich-based high school.
From NFA: Norwich Free Academy inducted 15 new members of the Yu Ying Chapter of the Chinese National Honor Society at a ceremony, May 21, in the Ensemble Room. World Language Teacher and Chapter Adviser Chongmin Ji welcomed honorees, their family, friends, and faculty. Chapter President Michelle Loo delivered the Chapter History, Vice-President Michael Tian recited the mission, and Treasurer Halie Yon reviewed the selection criteria.
Four members reviewed the four pillars of the Chinese National Honor Society for inductees in speeches about the qualities of the organization. Loo spoke about Leadership; Halie Yon talked about Character; Sylvia Liang and Secretary Loagan Echolm, reflected upon Scholarship, and Michael Tian addressed Service. Ji recited the organization’s poem, and Liang administered the oath.
