Norwich Election 2016 Results: Winners Revealed in Local Races

NORWICH, CT — Results are coming in for a number of electoral races across the board in Norwich, both on a local and national scale.

On the ballot, registered voters in Norwich were able to select candidates for president and vice president, United States senator, representatives to U.S. Congress, state senator, state representative and registrar of voters.

In Norwich, incumbent Democratic candidate Catherine Osten beat out Republican candidate Barbara Richardson Crouch in the race for the 19th Senatorial District, as reported by The Day.

In the 46th State House District, Democrat Emmett D. Riley won re-election against Republican Rob Dempsky, as reported by The Day. The district covers the urban and southern sections of Norwich.

In the 47th State House District, Incumbent Republican Doug Dubitsky won out over Democrat Kate Donnelly, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin.

In the 139th State House District, Democrat Incumbent Kevin Ryan declared victory over Republican Joseph Mark C. Taraya, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

Republican Dianne Slopak and Democrat Dianne Daniels are the candidates for registrar of voters.
