Norwich Elks Club Tax Foreclosure Auction Saturday Cancelled

NORWICH, CT – A tax foreclosure auction of the former Elks Club mansion on Main Street scheduled for Saturday was cancelled Thursday, as reported by The Day.

The remaining back taxes have been paid off by the company holding the mortgage on the property, The Day reported. The amount paid by RCN Capital LLC totaled $11,336.78, as well as auction and attorney fees.

Thursday’s payment covered the entire remaining back bill, according to The Day. A growing tax delinquent bill that started with the tax bill owed in July was not included with the payment.
