(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. NORWICH, CT — From <a href="https://www.nfaschool.org" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">Norwich Free Academy</a>: The first day of school for entering Ninth Graders, the Class of 2022, is tomorrow, Wednesday, August 29. Students report directly at 7:25 a.m. to their homerooms in the Cranston Building. The day will include an introduction of faculty and staff, unit activities, and a campus orientation. It is also picture day for ninth-graders. NFA will provide lunch to all ninth-graders on this first day before dismissal at 11:55 a.m. All students at the Sachem Campus, grades 9-12, report to school, Wednesday. Sachem students report to the Sachem Campus cafeteria. Students, grades 10-12 on the Broadway Campus join their 9th grade and Sachem peers for classes on Thursday, August 30. It is an early dismissal day. Friday, August 31, is the first full day of classes for all students on both the Broadway and Sachem Campuses. There will be grade-level assemblies, and the day ends with a Welcome to Ninth-Grade pep-rally. There is no school, Monday, September 3, for Labor Day.
