Norwich Free Academy Child Nutrition Program Information
Click to find out how to apply for the school's federal Free and Reduced Lunch program.
NFA: Norwich Free Academy released today information about and the application for the Child Nutrition Programs Application for Free or Reduced Price Meals for nutrition assistancef during the 2019-20 school year. Interested families are asked to complete all forms and have students submit applications to their House Office no later than September 13, 2019.
Because NFA’s program does not provide universal free lunch to all students, students and families must apply to receive these benefits. (If your family receives SNAP or other state benefits, your child will be directly certified and will not need to apply.) The Child Nutrition Programs’ Application for Free or Reduced Price Meals can be found on the NFA website at www.nfaschool.org/chartwells-food-service. The application is available in multiple languages in school counselors’ offices or online at https://www.fns.usda.gov/school- meals/translated-applications.
Students eligible for free or reduced lunch prices may also qualify or be eligible for additional opportunities on and off-campus (e.g. select fee waivers, etc.) in addition to vocational opportunities through the Norwich Youth and Family Services program. With parent/guardian permission and if students are deemed eligible for free or reduced lunch, their status will be provided to a select group of NFA faculty for this reason only while strictly adhering to and maintaining confidentiality. Please complete the Information Sharing Agreement. NFA looks forward to a continuing partnership with students and their families by providing the
Child Nutrition Program. We strive to maximize opportunities for every student. If you have any questions about the Child Nutrition Program, please call Colleen DeClerck at
