Norwich Free Academy Recognizes Veterans With Field Of Honor
The field features a display of American flags in honor of Veteran's Day.

From NFA: For the second year in a row, NFA is proud to feature a display of American flags in honor of Veteran’s Day. NFA’s Supporting Our Servicemen & Women Club (SOS Club) hosts the Norwich Field of Honor® display of U.S. flags, November 11th-17th, 2018.
The Stars and Stripes will appear in an awe-inspiring panorama of red, white, and blue on the Academy’s front lawn.
Full size (3’x 5’) flags will fly on seven and a half foot flagstaffs to honor our veterans and active duty military personnel. Each flag costs $25 to sponsor, features a tag with information about the person it honors, and is given to the sponsor to keep after the event. SOS Club Advisor Alyssa Pendleton took over the event this year with a committee of volunteers. “I am lucky enough to spearhead this with my dad, Ben Lathrop, and Bob Malouf who are both veterans,” Pendleton said. “It is going to be unbelievable and I am excited to say that we have exceeded last year's 100 flags to 160.”
