Norwich Historical Society Lecture Series Awarded Grant from Chelsea Groton

The grant will go toward the society's annual lecture series.

NORWICH, CT- The Chelsea Groton Bank Foundation has awarded the Norwich Historical Society a $500 grant, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

The grant will go towards the society’s annual William B. Stanley Lecture Series, for which the NHS will team with Slater Memorial Museum, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Events include a brief lecture on Norwich’s whaling history following a viewing of “In the Heart of the Sea,” among others.

Chelsea Groton Bank in Norwichtown Branch Manager Cindy Harris presented the society with a check at the Norwich Heritage and Regional Visitors’ Center on Thursday, as reported by the Norwich Bulletin. It was received by NHS President Bill Champagne and consultant Regan Miner.
