Norwich to Host American Red Cross Blood Drive this July

A series of blood drives will be held close to the Fourth of July in the New London area, the Norwich Bulletin reported.
The drives are meant to ensure there is a sufficient blood supply for patients throughout the summer, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Blood donations often decline in the summer and especially close to summer holidays, an issue the drives hope to counteract.

- New London: 1 to 6 p.m. July 1 at Rita's, 361 Colman St.
- Norwich: 7:30 a.m. to 1:15 p.m. July 1 at William W. Backus Hospital, 326 Washington St.
- Old Lyme: 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. July 8 at Old Lyme Town Hall, 52 Lyme St.
- Waterford: 12:30 to 6:15 p.m. July 8 at Waterford Town Hall, 15 Rope Ferry Road
- Waterford: noon to 5 p.m. July 12 at the Visiting Nurse Association of Southeastern Connecticut, 403 N. Frontage Road
- Groton: 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. July 14 at the Groton City Municipal Building, 295 Meridian St. Extension
