Norwich Man Arrested for Alleged Parking Lot Drug Transaction

Police said they observed the suspect engaged in a hand to hand parking lot drug transaction.

GROTON, CT - Police recently arrested a man they said had crack cocaine in his possession following a parking lot drug transaction.

Officers of the Groton Town Police Department were surveying known high crime areas in Groton on Monday with assistance from the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force. Detectives at this time observed a hand to hand drug transaction in a Long Hill Road restaurant parking lot.

Danyale Ellis, 28, of Norwich was stopped while exiting the parking lot and found to be in possession of crack cocaine. The suspect was arrested and released on bond pending his assigned court appearance.
