(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. GROTON, CT - Police recently arrested a man they said had crack cocaine in his possession following a parking lot drug transaction. Officers of the Groton Town Police Department were surveying known high crime areas in Groton on Monday with assistance from the Regional Community Enhancement Task Force. Detectives at this time observed a hand to hand drug transaction in a Long Hill Road restaurant parking lot. <ul><li><a href="https://patch.com/connecticut/norwich/subscribe">To sign up for Norwich breaking news alerts and more, click here. </a></li></ul>Danyale Ellis, 28, of Norwich was stopped while exiting the parking lot and found to be in possession of crack cocaine. The suspect was arrested and released on bond pending his assigned court appearance.
