NORWICH, CT — A Norwich man has been charged with voyeurism after a juvenile found a cell phone hidden in a home's bathroom, according to The New London Day. Santiago Sanchez-Ibarra, 36, was charged Saturday with one count each of risk of injury to a minor and voyeuristic recording of another person.
He was held on $25,000 bond and scheduled to appear in Norwich Superior Court on Monday.
Police responded to a call from a 12-year-old reporting that they found the cell phone hidden in the home's bathroom, according to The New London Day. In an arrest report, police said that evidence suggested that Sanchez-Ibarra intentionally hid the phone and set it to record.
