Norwich man Faces Charges for Murder of Pregnant Wife, Arson

He appeared in court Monday.

NEW LONDON, CT- A Norwich man accused of murdering his pregnant wife and setting fire to their apartment also faces charges for assaulting a pregnant woman resulting in the termination of a pregnancy, according to the Norwich Bulletin.

Patrick Antoine, 39, appeared in court Monday, where he pleaded not guilty on all three charges, the Norwich Bulletin reported. Antoine had reportedly admitted to police on June 2 that he killed his wife with a steak knife during an argument before setting their apartment on fire and driving himself over to the police station.

He faces murder charges that could result in 25 to 60 years in prison, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Additionally, he faces arson charges that could result in up to 25 years in prison, as well as a maximum 25-year penalty as a result of Jenny’s Law.
