Norwich Man Pleads Guilty To Child Exploitation: Feds
A Norwich man pleaded guilty to photography and video recording his sexual abuse of a child, according to federal prosecutors.
NORWICH, CT — A Norwich man pleaded guilty to child exploitation charges, according to Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Travis Williams, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography and and one count of distribution of child pornography.
He faces between 20 and 50 years in prison at sentencing.
According to prosecutors, Williams engaged in sexual acts with a child was about 9 years old on more than 100 occasions. He recorded some of these acts on his iPhone.

Williams filmed 10 videos of himself sexually abusing the child on July 27,2019, according to prosecutors.
Investigators recovered numerous text messages between Williams and a woman in July 2019. Williams told the woman that he wanted to engage in sexual acts with her while the child watched, and that he wanted the child to take part in these sexual acts.

Williams has been detained since his arrest on related state charges Aug. 30, 2019.
