(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. NORWICH, CT — A Norwich man pleaded guilty to child exploitation charges, according to Leonard C Boyle, Acting United States Attorney for the District of Connecticut. Travis Williams, 34, pleaded guilty to one count of production of child pornography and and one count of distribution of child pornography.He faces between 20 and 50 years in prison at sentencing.According to prosecutors, Williams engaged in sexual acts with a child was about 9 years old on more than 100 occasions. He recorded some of these acts on his iPhone. Williams filmed 10 videos of himself sexually abusing the child on July 27,2019, according to prosecutors. Investigators recovered numerous text messages between Williams and a woman in July 2019. Williams told the woman that he wanted to engage in sexual acts with her while the child watched, and that he wanted the child to take part in these sexual acts.Williams has been detained since his arrest on related state charges Aug. 30, 2019.
