Norwich Man Possessed Pipe Bombs, Assault Weapons: Report

NORWICH, CT — A Norwich man is facing accusations that he possessed pipe bombs among several other charges, according to The New Haven Register. Andrew Cook, 57, was charged with illegally having explosives, first-degree reckless endangerment, bomb manufacturing, possessing an assault weapon, and assaulting a public safety officer.

Police initially responded due to a fight between Cook and his roommate. Cook has a previous conviction for illegal possession of a weapon and illegal possession of explosives, The New Haven Register reported.

His bail was set at $510,000.
