Norwich Man Shot Woman In Leg: Report

A man is facing accusations that he shot a woman in the leg at a Norwich home Tuesday.

NORWICH, CT — A man was charged after a woman was shot in the leg Tuesday morning at an East Main Street home in Norwich, according to The New London Day. Larry Brown, 46, of Norwich, was charged with one count each of first-degree assault, unlawful discharge of a firearm, criminal possession of a firearm, disorderly conduct, reckless endangerment, criminal mischief, and criminal violation of a protective order and five counts of risk of injury to a minor.

He was held on $500,000 bond and scheduled to appear in court Wednesday.

Police caught Brown two hours after the crime in Hartford, obtaining his location by pinging his cell phone.
