While speaking on immigration, the presidential nominee referenced a Norwich murder case.
NORWICH, CT – Presidential Candidate Donald Trump referenced a Norwich murder case during a speech on immigration policy, The Day reported.
While making his immigration speech in Phoenix on Wednesday night, Trump mentioned the murder of Casey Chadwick in June 2015, according to The Day. Chadwick was found stabbed to death in her Spaulding Street apartment, for which a Haitian national received 60 years in prison.
Trump referenced the incident when talking about how other nations will often refuse to take people the country deports, The Day reported. He said this caused “often terrible consequences, such as Casey Chadwick’s tragic death in Connecticut last year.”
