Norwich Public Schools announced at the Wequonnoc Magnet School Town Meeting Friday morning that Jessie Wraichette had been selected as the Norwich Teacher of the Year.
Wraichette is an art teacher at Wequonnoc Arts and Technology Magnet School, where she has been employed for 10 years. A press release from Norwich Public Schools said she has had a huge impact on expanding her students' interest and capabilities in all aspects of art.
Wraichette will be honored at a Convocation in August. I was thrilled to surprise her and everyone else at Wequonnoc Magnet School this morning. A Teacher of the Year must exemplify exceptional qualities in their respective field.
