(Kunstraum) Dada Post was an artist-run organization, founded in January 2008, by Howard McCalebb in Berlin, Germany. In 2022 Mr. McCalebb moved to Norwich, Connecticut, and establish the art gallery Dada Post USA. Mr. McCalebb is a sculptor and active figure on the international art scene. Dada Post USA is an autonomous space for the production, display and discussion of current art. Foremost, we contemplate artistic expression from the standpoint of pure inspiration emanating from the source – the artist. We are keenly interested in the effects of Globalization on art practice, and the notion of a hybridized Post Modern art practice. As a contemporary art space, Dada Post USA is primarily concerned with artwork that is the most current, reflecting the actual meaning of the term: Contemporary Art. We offer a program of exhibitions and events, featuring videos, poetry/literary readings, music and other live performances, during and between art exhibitions. The original inspiration for both (Kunstraum) Dada Post and Dada Post USA was the Cabaret Voltaire in Zürich, Switzerland and Andy Warhol’s Factory in New York City – which were open venues for impromptu gatherings, events, and artistic experimentation. NORWICH, CT — A controversial trip with utility funds by Norwich Public Utilities officials to last year's Kentucky Derby remains under scrutiny with the utility's governing board <a href="http://www.theday.com/local/20170627/norwich-utilities-commission-will-hire-attorney-to-help-review-ethics-issues" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">hiring legal counsel to probe the matter</a>, reports The Day. At issue is whether two NPU officials, General Manager John Bilda and Division Manager Steve Sinko should reimburse the city more than $31,000 combined for the cost of the trip for them and their spouses. The city's Ethics Commission recently recommended that the two repay the city for the trips, though the utility did not have a specific policies on such travel at the time.
