Norwich One of the Few Winners Under Malloy's Latest Budget Plan
But Norwich would actually see an increase of nearly $150,000 in state aid from previously announced state funding allocation for 2019.

NORWICH, CT - The bad news keeps coming for Connecticut municipalities as the state attempts to claw out from under its budget mess.
Under Gov. Dannel P. Malloy's revised, proposed adjustments to the fiscal year 2019 budget previously adopted by the legislature state municipal aid would be cut nearly $100 million - both in the education and non-education side.
Norwich is actually one of the few winners in the new plan - it would get $147,720 more than the $41.6 million previously allocated for 2019; now, that number would be $41.7 million.
