Norwich police Chief Retiring After 50 Years of Law Enforcement
He will retire this summer, leaving behind a law enforcement legacy.

NORWICH, CT- Police Chief Louis J. Fusaro Sr. announced Tuesday that he will retire this summer, after spending half a century in law enforcement, the Norwich Bulletin reported.
Fusaro, 70, will retire July 6 from his current position, which he has held since 1997, according to the Norwich Bulletin. He leaves behind a legacy, including a 25 percent drop in crime for Norwich.
He has spent 48 of his half a century in law enforcement serving Norwich, spending two years in the military police prior to joining the department, the Norwich Bulletin reported. Though nothing is official, he thinks Deputy Chief Patrick Daley could be his successor.
