“If we want to provide all of our students with a high-quality education, we have to make greater investments in schools that need the most help. These grants will put more computers, tablets, and interactive whiteboards in classrooms across Connecticut and, used smartly, can help students who face the most challenges overcome barriers and excel,” Governor Dannel P. Malloy said in a release. “We are pleased to offer additional investment opportunities to support school improvement and commend our districts for pursuing such resources.”

For Norwich, Veterans Memorial School will receive $460,000. It has been classified as an SIG/Focus school, according to a release.
