Norwich Reportedly Ends Refueling Option At Marina

The next closest boat fueling option is several miles away.

NORWICH, CT — For cost reasons, Norwich has decided not to replace the old marina fueling tanks that were removed last year, leaving many of the city's boaters with one less refueling option, reports the Norwich Bulletin.

The cost of replacing the fuel tanks at the Marina at American Wharf approaches $175,000 and other temporary options also cost too much, according to officials.

The marina is privately owned but located on city property that is leased to the owners. The next closest refueling option is more than 10 miles away.
