Norwich School Budget Deficit In The Millions: Report
This year's schools budget was set at $78.4 million.

NORWICH, CT — Even with efforts to reduce it, the Norwich schools budget deficit stands at $2.3 million this year, reports The Day.
To reach that number, the school district has frozen spending on some programs, restructured some grants and moved some salaries.
This year's schools budget was set at $78.4 million, and at that time the district projected the deficit would be $4.5 million. Over the next several weeks, officials will look to find more opportunities to save.
