Outdated Norwich Radio Irks Police and Residents
Problems persist with the Norwich Police's two-way radio system.

A concerned resident sent an email to a number of city officials last weekend complaining that the Norwich Police two-way radio was frustratingly outdated, The Day reported.
The outdated system has been a topic of complaint by residents and officers alike for a number of years, according to The Day. The system is constantly dropping calls from dispatch and inundated with static, making it not only inadequate for police but dangerous for the city’s well-being too.
The email contained links to a website of Norwich Police scanner calls with audio issues, and signed it “The Wife and Children of a City Employee,” according to The Day. City Manager John Salomone said he will respond to the email, promising improvements to the system will come.
