Pickup Strikes Two Teens On Bike In Norwich: Fire Department

A crash involving a pickup truck and a bike resulted in life-threatening injuries for a teen.

NORWICH, CT — An accident involving a pickup truck and two teens on a bike left one person with life-threatening injuries, according to a Facebook post from Taftville Fire Co. 2. Police, firefighters, and ambulance medics responded to a call at 1:04 p.m. Monday at East Pratt for a vehicle vs. pedestrian crash.

Responders found a pickup had hit two teens on a bike. Both victims were lying in the road. EMTs immediately started medical aid. Both patients were treated and transported to the hospital.

One patient suffered life-threatening injuries and was transferred to another facility for further care.
