Plainfield Police Arrest Man After he Falls Asleep Making a Milkshake: Report

Police said the suspect had a sleep deficit and was in possession of several bags of heroin.

PLAINFIELD, CT – A man was arrested Tuesday at a convenience store after he fell asleep while making a milkshake, the Norwich Bulletin reported.

The suspect allegedly had a sleep deficit and was in possession of several bags of heroin, according to the Norwich Bulletin. Police officers responded to the Cumberland Farms store on Main Street following complaints of a man nodding off while trying to make a milkshake.

Randy Valade, 37, was found sleeping inside the store with a drink in his hand, the Norwich Bulletin reported. A woman, Gina Mineau, was found outside the store slumped against a wall, and both were arrested after found to be in possession of numerous bags of heroin.
