Three Rivers Community College is offering a variety of non-credit courses for those interested in expanding their skills.

NORWICH, CT - Three Rivers Community College is offering a variety of non-credit courses for those interested in expanding their skills, or even changing career paths. Registration is still open on the five non-credit courses below, according to a release.

Patient Care Technician (PCT): If you are a CNA, further your expertise in subjects including Infection Control, Wound Care, Ostomy Care and more. Classes are held on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting October 3 and running through December 5. The registration deadline is September 26.
EKG Technician: Add to your medical toolbox and increase your qualifications. This course prepares you to take the national certification exam issued by the National Center for Competency Testing (NCCT). The classes run on Mondays and Wednesdays from October 16 through December 20. The registration deadline is October 12.

American Heart Association Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED: This six-hour First Aid CPR AED Course is a classroom, instructor-led course designed to prepare students to provide first aid, CPR and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. This one-day course is held on Friday, October 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The registration deadline is October 23.
Real Estate Principles and Practices: Interested in a career in the world of Professional Real Estate? This course will provides an in-depth knowledge of the industry and prepares student to sit for the State of Connecticut Real Estate PSI Exam. It runs on Mondays and Wednesdays from October 2 through December 11. The registration deadline is September 25.
Security Officer Training: Guard Card Certification: Security officers impact hundreds, even thousands of people every day, but to get the job, applicants need to complete this state required, eight (8) hour course prior to employment. Classes take place on Tuesdays and Thursdays, beginning on October 17 and running through October 26. The registration deadline is October 13.
Mindfulness Over Madness: Learn how to utilize effective cognitive behavioral therapy strategies to control overwhelming feelings and replace them with more realistic, positive, and peaceful thoughts, which will result in far more emotional regulation. This one-day course is offered on Friday, October 13 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The registration deadline is October 6.
Cultivating Resiliency: This class helps students understand how resilient they are, how to better adapt to changing times, and how to re-think a situation to become unstuck and to move forward. This one-day course is offered on Friday, October 27 from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. The registration deadline is October 10.
